This ground-breaking technology sees the Companion capable for the first time of giving a caregiver the ability to review the difference between normal bed activity and distressed prolonged movement. The Companion has the same feature set as the much-trusted original Companion including repetitive movements, repetitive or prolonged sounds, excess moisture and adjustable times delay for bed vacation.

With the aid of the Alert-iT App, the caregiver can now see a time logged insight into their user’s activity and display it in a visual format via easy-to-read graphics. This hugely helps the caregiver in personalising the alarm parameters for their unique users’ requirements. This allows for much less intrusive care and reduces false alarms, improving the user’s independence and dignity.

Having this visual information at your fingertips gives the caregiver increased confidence in the technology. The Companion also includes a history of alarms and other events, with up to 8000 events.

If the Companion indicates a possible alerting condition, the caregiver will be notified by either an Alert-iT pager or nurse call/telecare system. The installer can switch between the two or select both. The Companion benefits from an improved failsafe warning system. As well as being revolutionary technology, being battery powered removes the risk of damaged or accidentally removed power supplies and offering much more flexible with installation. It can be fitted discreetly to a wall, bedside table, or it can be provided with convenient hook so it can be hung over the side of the bed or headboard.
